Cascade is cute, smart, mentally taxing (in the best possible way) and generously free-to-play. It’s also achieved an admirable dual goal; by combining the best aspects of two incredibly popular genres—match-three and slots—it’s extended the entertainment value of both and created something new. After several years, I’m still playing Cascade daily and still finding it challenging and enjoyable. This game is very easy to play but a bit trickier to master. I like that enjoyable play is not hampered by feeling it necessary to make in-game purchases (though, of course, they’re available). I also think the “life-limited” playing is a very good feature. I also enjoy the holiday themes and the new features introduced in the updates. Still loving it. Still my favorite game for smartphone play.
