Can I play the game in a window?
You can turn on window mode by clicking the OPTIONS Button and clicking the SWITCH button next to SCREEN MODE.
How do I start as a new Player?
Click on the Player Card or the Change Player button. Select a card that is empty. It will prompt you for a name. Now you have a new card for a new player. Press Okay and you are ready to go.
How do I change players?
Click on the Player Card or on the Change Player button. Select another player and click Okay.
Can I turn off the Music?
Yes, press the OPTIONS Button and use the slider to turn down the music all the way to the left to 0.
Can I turn off the Sound Effects?
Yes, press the OPTIONS Button and use the slider to turn down the sound all the way to the left to 0.
How Can I Improve Performance?
Quit other apps to free up memory.
If hardware mode is jerky, try software mode. Go to options and select hardware acceleration off, or start the game with the shortcut Play Funkiball In Safe Mode
Full screen generally performs better than playing in a window with hardware acceleration turned on .
Make sure you have recent display drivers - you can find them at your computer's manufacturer's web site.
Something is not working?
Many problems can be solved by simply updating your DirectX, which is the program from Microsoft that allows you to play games on your computer. To update it, go to Microsoft's website and search for DirectX or click Microsoft's DirectX.
Also, you should update your computer at Microsoft Windows Update
Plus, Spyware can sometimes make things not work. Download and run Microsoft Antispyware to check and clean your machine.
Something is not working on WINDOWS 98?
If you have Windows 98 and the game is crashing, first update your Microsoft DirectX. If this doesn't work, you may have a bad or older device driver for the graphics of the computer. You can make things work better by trying this:
Something is not working on WINDOWS XP?
Sometimes, display drivers for XP may not be working correctly. For a quick fix, try this:
1. Right-click the program icon on your desktop or the shortcut on the Start menu for the program you want to run, and then click Properties.
2. Click on Compatibility on the tabs at the top of the window that appeared.
3. Check the box that says: "Run this program in compatibility mode for:".
4. Select Windows 98/Windows ME from the drop-down menu.
5. Check the box that says "Turn off advanced text services for this program".
6. Click APPLY.
7. Click OK.
